Women's Indigo Epic Guided Ride

Service Description

It's time to go EPIC on the spectacular IndiGO Epic Trail between Beechworth and Yackandandah in Victoria's High Country. The IndiGO Epic is a blue/intermediate-rated Epic Trail which runs through some of the region's most spectacular scenery. This full-day guided ride takes in the very best and most-fun part of the entire trail: a 22km one-way route from Beechworth, finishing in the heart of Yackandandah with a well-earned lunch and a drink. RIDE SECTION 1 We start out at beautiful Lake Sambell in Beechworth and enjoy an undulating first 9km taking us out of Beechy and past Lake Kerford before a small climb up to our highest point for the day. This section climbs about 150 vertical metres in total. RIDE SECTION 2 We then quickly find ourselves on a seemingly endless section of fast, flowy berms which weaves throughout the rainforest and native state forest. Then we'll hit the iconic Homeward Bound trail, before finishing up on the raw, hand-cut goodness of the Yack Trails network which takes you all the way into town. This section is primarily descending, dropping about 425m in 13km, with a small climb in the middle (approx 150m vert). We'll finish up the ride at the Two Pot Brewery - a Yackandandah institution - to celebrate the stoke with lunch and a drink (own cost) before catching our private shuttle back to Beechworth. The cost of the shuttle ($35) is included in your booking. This ride requires a minimum of 4 riders in order to run, so please bring your friends! All riders must be a minimum Intermediate level (comfortable riding Blue flow trails like Mystic's Shred Kelly) to participate. For more info, check out our Rider Levels page or email us.
